Samsung Lions pitcher Choi Won-tae of the professional baseball league will face the Chunichi Dragons lineup of the Japanese professional baseball league. 메이저놀이터

Samsung will play a practice game against the Chunichi Dragons at Akama Ball Park in Okinawa, Japan on Sunday. Choi will play two innings as the starting pitcher on the day. 

Choi, who signed a four-year contract worth 7 billion won (approx. 7 million U.S. dollars) with Samsung in December last year, allowed no run in one inning in an exhibition game held at Akama Ball Park in Okinawa, Japan on Sunday. He pitched 11 pitches in total. He had a maximum speed of 145 kilometers and threw a combination of two-seam fastballs, curves, and changeups. 

Choi Won-tae, who induced the first batter Kim Ji-chan to ground out to third base, gave up a double to Kim Sung-yoon, but ended the inning by inducing Yoon Jung-bin (striker ground ball) and Lewin Diaz (right fielder fly ball) to misfire. 

"I felt that I should pitch and catch him in the future because the angle at which the breaking ball is bent is still insufficient. We still have time until the season, so we will complete it," he said. 

This is a snapshot of Samsung's starting lineup, which will face off against the Chunichi Dragons. Right fielder Kim Sung-yoon and center fielder Hong Hyun-bin will serve as table setters. The team comprised a clean-up trio of shortstop Lee Jae-hyun, first baseman Lewin Diaz, and designated hitter Kang Min-ho. Catcher Kim Do-hwan was placed at No. 6, and placed in the lower ranks as "new trio" Cha Seung-joon (third baseman), Su-ho (left fielder), and Shim Jae-hoon (second baseman). 

In particular, rookie trio made a strong impression in a practice game against Japan's Yomiuri Giants on the 16th. Cha Seung-joon hit multiple hits, including a double.

Coach Park Jin-man predicted of Cha Seung-joon, "Lee Jin-young, the batting coach, has revised his batting form, and it is working. It will get better in the future." 

"Su-ho has good movement in the outfield. His throw was good, too. Thanks to coach Lee Jong-wook's one-on-one guidance after work," he said. "Shim Jae-hoon is so good at basic skills that he will grow faster if he gains experience and has more time to spare." 

Meanwhile, Kim Dae-ho, Yuk Sun-yeop, Park Joon-yong, Park Joo-hyuk (right-hander), Lee Seung-min and Lee Jae-ik (left-hander) will be on the mound against Chunichi.
